Jack M Shinto Shiprock Watercolor Desert Landscape Framed Signed
Original watercolor landscape by American artist Jack M. Shinto, depicting what appears to be Shiprock (Tsé Bitʼaʼí), the iconic volcanic formation rising from the high desert of northwestern New Mexico. Rendered in warm earth tones with expressive washes, the composition captures the monument’s dramatic vertical presence and the surrounding arid landscape. Signed lower right.
Artist Biography:
Jack M. Shinto studied at Parsons School of Design in New York City and furthered his training in Santa Fe at the Hill and Canyon School of the Arts. He became a Signature Member of the National Watercolor Society in 1974 and exhibited in numerous regional and national shows, including the New Mexico Biennial and Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibition. His work is known for its focus on Southwestern landscapes and sensitive handling of watercolor.
Professionally framed under glass with double matting, ready for display. A compelling piece for collectors of Southwestern art, especially those drawn to recognizable landmarks like Shiprock.
