Prickly Pear Iron & Glass Dining Set — Table + 4 Chairs

A sculptural dining suite built around the prickly pear cactus — one of the most legible icons of the Chihuahuan desert — rendered in hand-worked iron with punched-dimple detailing that replicates the areoles of living Opuntia pads. The table rises from a welded iron trunk-form column radiating a full crown of oval pads, topped with a 1/4" removable round glass panel. Each chair back stacks cactus pads between sweeping iron stanchions terminating in ball finials; armchairs carry a single horizontal pad as the armrest — a detail that is both functional and formally precise. The punched texture is consistent across every element, pointing to a single maker or workshop. Vinyl seat cushions are removable and easy to clean — a practical advantage for a set this visually commanding.

The lot includes the glass-top table and four chairs with cushions.

CONDITION

Good. Frames are structurally sound with no bends or breaks; the brown-black iron finish shows only minor surface oxidation consistent with the intentional aged treatment. The glass top has minor scattered scratches visible under raking light. Vinyl cushions are intact with softening and light compression wear from use.
