Vintage Mexican Terracotta Chiminea — Hand Sculpted, One Piece
A substantial vintage one-piece hand-sculpted terracotta chiminea from Mexico, standing on three splayed legs with a wide rounded firebox and a tapered chimney stack. Every exterior surface carries a dense, hand-stamped basket-weave texture — a labor-intensive technique characteristic of Jalisco folk workshops. Applied in low relief across the chimney and firebox shoulder are sunflower motifs with textured petals and raised seed heads, bold enough to read across a courtyard.
The interior shows carbon blackening throughout the firebox and chimney channel, evidence of prior use and proof that this piece has been properly seasoned and is ready to fire again.
CONDITION
Good. Structurally sound and fully functional, with no remarkable damage and strong visual presence throughout. A chip is present around the front of the firebox opening. Surface shows signs of outdoor use consistent with age.
