Description

Hacienda Pine Chest — Carved Rope-Twist, 8 Drawers

Built entirely of solid knotty pine, this hacienda-style piece is substantial Mexican craft furniture built for decades of daily use. The rises in an arched carved rope-twist gallery rail that frames the top on three sides, giving the piece its signature silhouette. Eight drawers run in two configurations — four small across the top row, four large below — each fitted with cast-iron ring pulls on decorative sunburst backplates. Side panels carry raised-panel detailing; the back is vertical wood-panel construction.

At over 71 inches wide and nearly 41 inches tall, the footprint and storage volume work equally well as a bedroom dresser, dining room sideboard, entry chest, media console, or credenza — anywhere the scale fits and the rustic character is an asset rather than a compromise.

CONDITION

Good. The piece is rustic by design — natural knots, grain variation, and the honest character of hand-worked pine are part of the appeal, not deductions from it.  All drawers function and all hardware is intact.
