A heavy, well-executed example of Zuni channel inlay silversmithing, this substantial men's ring centers on a rectangular face inlaid with turquoise, onyx, coral, mother of pearl, and shell — set in sharp geometric fields that divide the face into bold diagonal planes. The composition is graphic and confident, built for presence rather than delicacy.
The sterling silver band is dense in hand at 22.9 grams, with carved parallel lines radiating from a central zigzag element on each shoulder. The ring is marked STERLING on the interior of the band. At a size 12 with a 6 mm shank, this is a ring that wears with authority.
A small chip is present on the turquoise in the upper-left triangular section of the face — disclosed fully and visible in the close-up photos. All remaining stones are secure in their settings. Polishing is left to the buyer.
