Navajo Sterling Silver Three Stone Turquoise Cuff Bracelet
This Navajo cuff bracelet is executed in sterling silver and set with three natural turquoise stones. The stones are oval cabochons, each set in a serrated bezel and surrounded by twisted wire and applied silver beadwork. The bracelet is constructed with a double shank and open back.
The turquoise exhibits blue to blue-green coloration with a pronounced brown to black spiderweb matrix and areas of dense host material. These characteristics are consistent with Nevada turquoise, possibly from the Candelaria or Pilot Mountain regions. The heavier matrix and tonal variation suggest the presence of variscite within the host rock. Specific mine attribution cannot be confirmed.
The bracelet is unmarked, which is typical of many Navajo works produced during the mid-20th century. Attribution is based on construction, materials, and design.
