A compelling pair of Tarahumara (Rarámuri) terracotta vessels, bound in hand-applied rawhide lashing that speaks to both ingenuity and tradition. Their full, rounded forms and warm, earth-rich surfaces reveal the marks of hand-forming and kiln firing, with organic variations that lend each piece its own presence. The rawhide, threaded through the clay and pulled taut, creates a rhythmic, sculptural pattern while serving its original purpose of reinforcement and durability.
