1933 Stroh’s Bohemian Beer Crate Table Detroit MI
A genuine piece of post-Prohibition history, this Stroh’s Bohemian Beer wooden crate dates to around 1933, when 3.2% beer was reintroduced in the United States. Branded “The Stroh Products Company, Detroit, Mich.” with bold original stenciling, it reflects the brewery’s early Bohemian-style roots and its place in Detroit’s industrial legacy. Designed to hold 24 bottles, the crate features classic handholds, metal corner reinforcements, and strong period typography on all sides.
At some point, it was thoughtfully repurposed with a hinged lid and turned legs, transforming it into a functional storage chest or rustic side table. The interior remains all wood, preserving the honest character of the original crate.
An appealing blend of authentic breweriana and vintage utility, this piece works equally well in a home bar, cabin, or industrial-style space. Early Stroh’s items from this transitional 1933 era are increasingly sought after, making this both decorative and collectible.
