Jon Stuart Anderson Fimo Polymer Clay Elephant — Signed
An elephant sculpture by Jon Stuart Anderson of FimoCreations, executed entirely in colored Fimo polymer clay using a millefiore cane technique adapted from ancient Venetian glassmaking — no paint appears anywhere on the piece. Every color field, pattern, and pictorial medallion is a separate piece of clay, stretched, reduced, and applied as mosaic tile to the hand-formed armature before firing. The surface presents Anderson's full iconographic range: woven geometric lattice on the legs, peacock feather fans across the back, a framed elephant portrait medallion inlaid on the flank, a henna handprint, a sailing ship panel on the shoulder, and spiral scroll work along the raised trunk. A glass bead eye and paired ivory-toned clay tusks complete the figure. Signed and dated "JSA 2023" in an inlaid portrait panel on the underside — among the most recent production from Anderson's Bali studio, where he has refined this technique over three decades. Collectors including President Bill Clinton and Pearl Jam drummer Dave Abbruzzese have acquired his work, and no two pieces are ever identical; once a cane image is exhausted, that design is gone permanently.

CONDITION
Excellent — no damage, no cracking, crazing, or delamination observed. Surface is smooth and fully intact across all panels. Note: minor fissuring in the clay surface, if present under close inspection, is a natural characteristic of the firing process and not a defect.
