Antique Leaded Stained Glass Panel — Fleur-de-Lis, Red Jewels
An antique leaded stained glass panel in the Arts & Crafts tradition, built around a bold central fleur-de-lis executed in richly streaked green cathedral glass. The motif rises from a fan-shaped base of radiating green segments and is framed by concentric arched bands in sky-blue opalescent glass, warm amber, and clear seedy textured glass — a composition drawn directly from the fanlight and transom vocabulary of late Victorian and Arts & Crafts architecture. Twenty or more deep-red glass jewel cabochons punctuate the radiating lines at regular intervals, catching light and adding depth across the full face of the panel. Lead came construction throughout, finished with a flat metal channel border and fitted eyelets for hanging.
At 22" × 39", the horizontal format is a natural fit for installation as a transom above a doorway, a bathroom privacy window, or a stairwell light — and reads equally well backlit or displayed flat against a wall as a statement decorative piece.
CONDITION
Good. The panel displays vibrant, intact color with no missing glass segments. One faintly visible crack is present; see images for location and extent. Lead came shows oxidation and surface patina consistent with age and use.
