Old Williamsburg Compote Blue — Cobalt Cut-to-Clear, 13½"
The Old Williamsburg pattern at full scale: a cobalt-cased compote that earns its place at the center of a formal table without asking permission. Three cut registers animate the bowl — an oval chain at the rim, a fan-feather frieze at the shoulder, and a field of tall lance-shaped cuts sweeping the body, each facet shifting between saturated royal blue and clear as the light moves. The baluster column and broad octagonal base are clear glass, facet-cut, providing architectural grounding beneath all that color.
At 13½ inches tall and nearly six pounds, this piece is proportioned for a dining table centerpiece, a foyer console, or anywhere a strong vertical presence is called for.
CONDITION Good. Crystal is clear with no chips or cracks; cobalt color is deep and even throughout. Light surface wear consistent with use visible throughout; minor contact marks on the base.
