Description

J. Peterson's Hand-Painted 3-Drawer Chest — Fishing Lure Folk Art Décor

A three-drawer accent chest finished in distressed hunter green with natural wood side panels and a sculpted scalloped base apron. The top panel carries a hand-painted scene reading "J. Peterson's" in bold red and gold lettering, depicting a wicker fishing creel, fly rod and reel, ferns, dragonflies, and scattered wildflowers.

This is a functional storage piece as much as a decorative one — three drawers on rails, scalloped base apron, and a footprint scaled for a bedroom corner, cabin entryway, or den. Anglers, lodge decorators, and sporting-life collectors will find it lands equally well beside a fireplace or under a mounted catch.

CONDITION

Good. Sturdy with no structural damage and all drawers operating on rails. The piece carries both intentional distressing and genuine use wear — nicks, chips, and dings are present throughout the painted surfaces, with more pronounced paint loss at drawer joints and base corners.
