Description

San Miguel de Allende Carved & Painted Folk Art Bench

Striking handcrafted wooden bench from San Miguel de Allende, featuring a richly detailed, carved and hand-painted courtyard scene inspired by colonial Mexican architecture. The backrest showcases a domed structure, arched passageway, and cascading florals, all enhanced with carved, dimensional (3D) texture throughout, giving the surface depth and tactile character. The side panels continue the vibrant village motif, creating a fully immersive design.

Constructed from solid wood with substantial 1½" thick panels and iron hardware, this bench is both sturdy and highly decorative. The combination of carving and painting elevates it beyond typical folk pieces, making it a standout accent for a patio, entryway, or interior space.

Condition:
In good condition overall with minor signs of outdoor use. Light surface wear and small scuffs are present, primarily along edges and high points of the carved details. No remarkable damage; structurally solid and stable.

Dimensions:
Overall: 39 x 45 3/4 x 20 inches
Seat: 16 1/2 x 43 x 14 1/4 inches
