Tap & Die Set — Greenfield O.K. No. 5529, Wood Case, Taps, Wrenches
Vintage Greenfield Tap & Die set in the original two-part wooden box. Greenfield of Massachusetts was once the largest thread-cutting tool maker in the world. Buy it and use it.
What's in the box — ~20 pieces total:
- 2 cast iron die handles (large + medium, red painted)
- 7 round dies — 1/4" through 3/4"
- 4 taps — Greenfield HSS 3/4" and 1/2", Ridgid 1/2" NPT pipe tap, 1/2" NPS pipe tap
- 2 tap wrenches — straight bar and sliding T-handle
- 1 spiral-fluted hand reamer
- Additional taps and dies present
CONDITION
Good. Box is dark with grime and cracked through the bottom half — both pieces hold together. Red label on lid is readable but flaking. Die handles show chips and paint wear. Cutting edges look sharp to the eye.
