Bear Whitetail Hunter Compound Bow — 8 Arrows, Broadheads, Burlap Target
The Bear Whitetail Hunter is among the most culturally significant compound bows ever produced — Bear Archery's first economy compound, introduced in 1977 and embraced so broadly by American bowhunters that it earned the nickname "the 30-30 of bowhunting." Built on a cast hammertone-finish riser with dark-stained fiberglass laminate limbs and dual round wheels, the WH was engineered with three adjustable draw length and weight positions — genuinely advanced for its era. This example carries serial number WH-466471 and retains its original factory spec label showing draw settings from 28" to 32" with peak weights ranging 45 to 65 lbs. The limb face is silk-screened with the Whitetail Hunter deer graphic in white, and the bow is fitted with a period-correct Accra-Eye multi-pin sight and the original Bear-branded green bow quiver. Bow has been tested and shoots fully functional.
The lot includes three Bear Metric Magnum aluminum arrows (86mm spine) — matched period production arrows correct to this bow — plus five additional Bear aluminum shafts with mixed fletching, three copper-and-black three-blade broadhead tips, and a burlap broadhead target bag printed with a five-ring aiming pattern and duck silhouette. The target bag closes with a blanket-stitched top, yellow rope carry handle, and can be wall-mounted or hung for use.
CONDITION
Good — bow is fully functional and tested with no visible heavy wear or remarkable damage; normal signs of use present on the riser and limb finish. Feather fletching on the arrows shows wear consistent with regular field use.
