Urgos UW German Grandfather Clock French Provincial 3 Weight 87"
Mid-20th century grandfather clock featuring a German-made Urgos (UW) three-weight, chain-driven movement housed in a French Provincial-style case. The brass dial with Roman numerals and ornate spandrels sits beneath an arched bonnet, complemented by carved detailing and cabriole-style feet. Interior reveals an 8-rod chime block, consistent with Westminster chime operation.
Includes: clock case, Urgos movement, pendulum, three brass weights, and chains (currently removed from the movement). All major components appear present.
Movement is stamped “UW” with serial numbers, identifying it as a West German Urgos mechanism from the mid-to-late 20th century. A decorative and mechanical project piece with strong restoration potential.
Condition:
Fair condition, untested and sold as-is for parts or restoration. Chains and weights are off the clock. Visible wear including scratches, finish loss, prior repairs, and areas of chipping. Metal components show patina. Movement appears complete but will require servicing.
