Murano Art Glass Fish Figurines 3-Piece — ICET & Murano Venezia
Three hand-blown art glass fish figurines from two documented makers. The two larger pieces are by ICET Arte Murano, the Venezuelan glasshouse founded in 1957 by Italian émigré Bruno Ava — one of the few operations in the Western Hemisphere producing work in the authentic Murano tradition, with raw materials imported from Italy. The larger of the two is a sweeping Sommerso-style angelfish, its deep emerald green core cased in optical crystal with amber warming at the base. The second ICET piece employs the bullicante technique: controlled air bubbles suspended throughout an amber and amethyst body with clear crystal fins edged in yellow. The third fish — a compact disc-form piece with a textured scale-pattern body in vivid green relief — is Italian, bearing a Murano Venezia attribution.
CONDITION
Very good overall, with strong color saturation and no chips or cracks across any of the three pieces. Light shelf wear is present throughout, with surface scuffs and minor scratches on the large green Sommerso angelfish most concentrated at the base.
