Description

Summers Crafts Signed Walking Stick Cat’s Eye Wood Burned 40"

Handcrafted walking stick by Summers’ Crafts (R. & J. Summers), signed and maker-marked, with original tag intact dating to circa early 2000s (©2001). This solid wood staff is carefully shaped and finished with multiple coats, as noted on the tag, and features hand-burned (pyrography) and subtle painted botanical designs—consistent with small-batch artisan production rather than mass manufacture.

The upper section is wrapped in a leather grip with wrist strap, designed for comfort and control during hiking. The top is set with a polished blue “cat’s eye” stone, a signature decorative element often used by the maker to distinguish pieces. Summers’ Crafts appears to have been a small independent workshop producing functional art walking sticks, likely sold at craft fairs or regional outdoor markets.

A practical yet collectible example of early 2000s American folk craft, appealing to both hikers and collectors of handmade outdoor gear.

Condition:
In good condition, as shown. Exhibits light wear, surface marks, and natural wood variations consistent with use. The leather wrap and strap remain secure, and the decorative burned details are intact and clearly visible.

Dimensions:
40 x 1.25 inches diameter
