Admiral 5K1 Tube Radio Bakelite Art Deco AM 1940s USA

Admiral model 5K1 vintage tube radio, maker marked and Made in USA, dating to the late 1940s post-war era. This classic Bakelite tabletop set features a sleek black cabinet, horizontal grille, and a striking square dial labeled “Standard Broadcast.” The original chassis (Serial No. 5K1 58673) retains its tube complement and internal layout diagram, showcasing the reliable 5-tube superheterodyne design typical of the period.

A quintessential example of early American home radios, this piece combines iconic styling with practical function. Fully operational with clear sound, it remains an excellent display piece or daily-use vintage radio. Its authentic construction and strong visual appeal make it a desirable addition for collectors of mid-century electronics.

Condition:
In good condition overall, fully tested and operational with clear sound. Some static is present when adjusting the knobs. The Bakelite cabinet shows light surface wear and minor scuffs consistent with age, and the back panel exhibits typical fading and handling wear.
