Bamboo & Wicker Lounge Armchair — Diamond Weave, Down Cushion
A substantial bamboo and wicker lounge armchair built on a bent-bamboo pole frame with dense flat-reed diamond-pattern weave covering the back panel, seat skirt, and arm panels. The tripled bamboo arm rails and tightly coiled reed joints reflect a level of construction well above mass-market wicker. Open sculpted armrests sweep down to corner posts in the classic Colonial tropical form. The reverse of the back panel carries a tighter herringbone-pattern reed finish — the kind of detail that holds up on both sides of the room. Cognac honey finish is consistent front to back.
The lot includes the removable navy and gold dot tufted seat cushion, partially down-filled.
CONDITION
Good. The frame is sturdy and the weave is intact across the great majority of the surface. A small area of damaged wicker is present on the front left below the seat, as shown in the reference images. No structural compromise noted.
