IKEA Billy/Benno Modular Bookcase Wall System 4-Pc — Medium Brown

Four-piece modular bookcase wall system in a medium brown wood veneer finish, identified by internal IKEA labels as Billy, Billy Byom, and Benno units manufactured c. 1999. The warm reddish-brown veneer over particleboard construction predates IKEA's 2024 switch to printed paper foil — making these units materially superior to anything currently on the shelf. The configuration includes a full-height Billy with a lower double-door Billy Byom cabinet enclosure (doors made in Italy), a narrow Benno CD/DVD tower with ten closely spaced shelves, and two open-shelf Billy bookcases in differing widths. All adjustable shelves are pin-mounted on a 32mm grid for tool-free repositioning; each unit retains at least one fixed shelf. One unit has a rectangular back-panel cutout for cord routing. All four units are freestanding and fully separable.

This is a matched set in a color IKEA no longer makes — an increasingly difficult combination to source as the medium brown finish disappears from the secondary market.

CONDITION Good. Light signs of use throughout including minor dings and scuffs; no structural damage, delamination, or finish failures observed. Rectangular back-panel cutout on one unit is user-made for cord routing and does not affect structural integrity.
