Haitian Steel Drum Wall Art — 7-Bird Flock, Hand-Punched, 21.75" Round
A large circular wall sculpture handcrafted in the Haitian recycled steel drum tradition, composed of seven birds arranged in a swirling mid-flight formation. Cut and shaped from reclaimed oil drum steel using the fer découpé method originating in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti.
Each figure features hand-punched dot texturing and chiseled feather detailing across wings, breast, and tail. The composition arcs the flock into a near-oval sweep with individual birds breaking the perimeter, creating strong visual movement across the surface.
CONDITION
Very good. Crisp detail retention across all seven figures with no bent elements or deformation. Rustic patina and surface oxidation are inherent to the reclaimed steel construction, not post-production wear.
