16" Navajo Wedding Basket — Coiled, Concentric Spiral Design, Red & Black
Navajo wedding basket woven in the traditional coiled technique, featuring bold concentric bands in crimson red and dark black-brown alternating with undyed natural fiber, radiating outward from a tight spiral center. The shallow bowl form with gently elevated rim is characteristic of ceremonial wedding baskets produced by Navajo and San Juan Paiute weavers. Color saturation remains strong across the full weave field, and the reverse displays a clean herringbone-wrapped rim finish.
CONDITION
Good, with age-appropriate wear throughout. Weave structure is intact and the form holds well.
