Large Cast Bronze Boy Violinist Sculpture 41"H
A large hollow cast bronze figure of a young boy playing violin, standing 41 inches tall on an integral naturalistic rocky base. The figure is rendered with expressive, loose modeling throughout — oversized boots, a billowing open coat, wide-brimmed hat, and head tilted upward as if singing. Deep brown patina carries verdigris accumulation and gilded highlights on the curling hair and belt buckle. No signature or foundry mark is present. Scale and weight suggest garden or architectural display origin.
CONDITION
Good. The figure shows wear, surface oxidation, and verdigris consistent with outdoor display. One tuning peg is absent from the violin pegbox; additional mineral deposits and light pitting visible at the pegbox.
