Antique Timber Beam, Forged Iron Chain & Rings — Chandelier Base, Wall Mount
A substantial reclaimed timber beam, heavily weathered to a silver-gray with warm brown grain, fitted with flat iron strap brackets at each end. From each bracket hangs a hand-forged iron assembly consisting of a round rod, oval chain links, and a large round iron ring with varied terminal hardware — a ready-made foundation for a custom chandelier or pendant lighting installation. Two iron eye hooks set into the top face provide ceiling suspension points. The beam itself shows age consistent with 19th century origin; the bracket hardware appears to be of mixed vintage, with some components likely added or replaced at a later date.
CONDITION
Good. The beam is structurally sound with authentic heavy weathering throughout. Surface checking runs along both faces with one open split near the center top; iron components show uniform surface rust with no breaks or losses to the chain assemblies.
