James R. Fallier AWS, High Road to Taos 65/500 Triptych

High Road to Taos is a signed limited-edition watercolor print triptych by James R. Fallier AWS (1930–2018), a listed Kansas artist who exhibited with the American Watercolor Society and the National Academy of Design. The three panels depict New Mexico Pueblo adobe architecture across complementary winter scenes — multi-story mud brick structures with wooden ladders, traditional-dress figures in snow-covered foregrounds, and stormy mountain skies rendered in Fallier's characteristic fluid washes of warm earth tones and cool grays. Each panel carries two "Fallier AWS" signatures in the lower margin and the edition notation 65/500; the center panel is identified by a brass title plaque as High Road to Taos by James R. Fallier AWS.

All three prints are presented behind glass in matching reclaimed barnwood frames with triple matting — a textured beige outer mat with a terracotta inner accent border — uniform across the set.

CONDITION

Excellent. Color across all three panels is vibrant with no visible fading, foxing, or damage to the prints or glass. The reclaimed barnwood frames display intentional surface weathering consistent with their aged aesthetic.
