Lloyd Harting Wagon Train River Crossing Print — Wood Frame
A framed color print after an original Western illustration by Lloyd Harting (1901–1974). The scene depicts a covered wagon train fording a rocky river, with oxen teams, mounted riders, and settlers pushing through moving water against a stormy mountain backdrop. Harting produced this subject as calendar and advertising illustration for Brown & Bigelow over a thirty-year career. The artist's signature appears in the lower right. The print is housed in a flat-profile dark-stained wood frame.
CONDITION Fair. Colors remain legible and the composition reads well overall. A faint water stain is present in the upper left area of the print, and the frame shows scattered dings consistent with age and handling.
