Jason Commander 16x50 Binoculars Model 162 w/ Case Caps Strap
Vintage Jason Commander Model No. 162 binoculars featuring powerful 16x50 magnification and classic mid-20th century Japanese optical craftsmanship. The binoculars are marked “Action Tested” and feature triple coated lenses designed for clear long-distance viewing. The body has a durable black enamel metal frame with textured grip panels, center focus wheel, and adjustable eyepieces for precise viewing. Marked Made in Japan, these binoculars reflect the strong reputation of Japanese export optics produced during the 1960s–1970s.
Jason Empire Inc., a well-known American optical distributor, imported quality Japanese binoculars during the post-war optics boom. The Commander series represented their higher-magnification field models and remains popular with collectors and outdoor enthusiasts today. This set includes the original carry case with velvet lining, shoulder strap, and original lens caps, creating a complete vintage field kit.
