This three-piece ensemble arrives as a ready-made tabletop vignette — a coral-red stoneware vase flanked by two cast iron sparrows, the botanical motifs on the vase echoing the incised feather-and-branch detailing on the birds. The vase is goblet-formed with a coral-red glaze applied in reserve, leaving the foliage and branch motifs as unglazed raw clay against the colored ground; unglazed bands frame the rim and base, and the bottom is felt-padded. The cast iron birds sit as a naturally paired set, one in warm brown, one in darker charcoal, their rounded abstracted forms grounding the composition on either side.
