The solid pine seat doesn't rest on a frame — it floats inside one, held in position by black link chains that tighten when you sit and ease when you rise, the whole structure quietly doing physics while you eat dinner. The 2×2" welded steel uprights and sled base are the muscle; the chains are the nervous system. Knotted pine, warm stain, raw chain, and flat black steel give the design its character — industrial and rustic in equal measure, built heavy enough to feel serious and honest enough to feel lived-in.
