Description

Standing Hare 1996 Ceramic Wall Sculpture Signed Studio Pottery

Striking hand-built studio pottery wall sculpture featuring a sculpted winged female figure in relief against a textured terracotta clay surface. The figure appears in motion with extended wings accented by subtle green glaze highlights, creating contrast against the warm earthen clay body. The organic slab form has a softly curved, folded edge that enhances the sculptural presentation and depth.

The verso is signed “Standing Hare™ © 96,” indicating an earlier work by the same artist associated with the 1998 standing figure sculpture. The piece reflects a contemporary studio pottery approach with expressive modeling and symbolic imagery reminiscent of mythic or angelic figures. Its substantial form and earthy aesthetic make it an eye-catching decorative wall artwork or addition to a studio ceramics collection.

Condition:
Good condition with surface wear consistent with age and handling. Areas of scuffing, minor scratches, and natural variations in the clay are present. Small areas of surface wear appear around the sculpted wings and edges. Please review photographs carefully for full condition details.
