Set of 7 Vintage U.S. License Plates, 1970s–1980s – Multi-State Collection
An appealing mixed-state collection of seven authentic U.S. license plates dating from the 1970s through early 1980s. Included are: Florida “Sunshine State” 1974, South Carolina Trailer 1981, Michigan Bicentennial-era red-white-blue (1976–77), Wisconsin “America’s Dairyland” 1978, North Carolina 1976, Colorado Mountains 1979, and Pennsylvania “Keystone State” 1983–84.
Together these embossed steel and aluminum plates capture over a decade of evolving American automotive design—from patriotic and agricultural slogans to bold color palettes and state-themed motifs. Each represents genuine period issue, not reproduction, and reflects the typography and regional style of its issuing state. Perfect for collectors seeking mid-century authenticity, nostalgic décor, or use in a full 50-state display.
Condition:
Good overall vintage condition with moderate surface wear, minor edge rust, and small mounting holes consistent with prior use. Embossing and numbering remain clear and legible, with strong retained color. Some light oxidation and finish loss visible, adding authentic character to the group.
Dimensions:
Each plate approximately 6 x 12 inches (standard U.S. plate size).
