Hexagonal Copper & Brass Oil Lantern – 15½" with Handle
Unmarked hexagonal lantern crafted of non-magnetic metal, likely copper with brass trim, featuring clear glass panels and a hinged front door. Inside sits a fitted oil reservoir with a wick holder, typical of late 19th to early 20th-century utilitarian lighting. The vented domed top and perforated base allowed air circulation, while the sturdy wire handle provided ease of carrying or hanging.
Condition:
In good condition overall with light, age-appropriate wear to the metal surfaces. The glass panels are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. Burner and reservoir appear intact but untested. Presents beautifully with a warm antique patina.
Dimensions:
Overall height 15½ inches with handle; body 12 x 7½ x 6½ inches.
