KitchenAid K45SS Stand Mixer — Hobart Era Ivory, Maker Marked
Vintage KitchenAid Model K45SS tilt-head stand mixer in classic ivory enamel, maker marked and manufactured in the U.S.A. during the late Hobart era (circa late 1970s–mid-1980s). This model features a 250-watt direct-drive motor with solid-state electronic speed control and 10 variable speeds, delivering consistent, reliable performance. The set includes the original stainless steel K45 bowl (marked “Made in Korea”) and three factory attachments: wire whisk, flat beater, and dough hook.
Originally produced under Hobart’s ownership prior to KitchenAid’s transition to Whirlpool, the K45SS represents the enduring build quality and all-metal craftsmanship that defined this era. The iconic “K” silhouette, designed by Egmont Arens, remains a timeless fixture in American kitchen design and continues to be admired for both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
A desirable collectible and a fully capable workhorse mixer, ideal for both daily baking use and display in a mid-century inspired kitchen.
