Glenn Gould, Stravinsky, Albinoni & More – 12 Classical & Crossover LP Box Sets
This curated lot of 12 vintage classical and crossover LPs includes landmark performances by some of the 20th century's most celebrated musicians and ensembles. Highlights include Glenn Gould’s legendary interpretations of J.S. Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier, Books I & II (Columbia Masterworks), and Igor Stravinsky conducting his own works—The Firebird, Petrushka, and The Rite of Spring—with the Columbia Symphony Orchestra. Also featured is a 3-LP Philips box set of Albinoni’s 12 Concerti, Op. 10, performed by I Musici with Roberto Michelucci.
Other standouts include Frank Glazer performing Satie: Piano Music (Vox, 3-record set), John Williams’ Seven Great Guitar Concertos, and Four Favorite Violin Concertos with Isaac Stern, Leonard Bernstein, and Eugene Ormandy. Theatrical and vocal works round out the selection with Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris and Berlioz’s La Damnation de Faust. Labels include Columbia Masterworks, Philips, Vox, and others.
An outstanding collection for classical music collectors, vintage audio enthusiasts, or anyone seeking foundational works on vinyl.
