Description

Emmylou Harris – 3 Classic Albums on Vinyl (1975–1980, Warner Bros./Reprise)

Titles:

  • Pieces of the Sky (Reprise MS 2171, 1975)
  • Quarter Moon in a Ten Cent Town (Warner Bros. BSK 3141, 1978)
  • Roses in the Snow (Warner Bros. BSK 3422, 1980)

A beautifully cohesive trio from Emmylou Harris’s defining era, produced and arranged by Brian Ahern. Pieces of the Sky marked her breakout moment, blending traditional country and folk with rock influences and introducing the enduring classic “Boulder to Birmingham.” Quarter Moon in a Ten Cent Town continued her chart success with “Two More Bottles of Wine,” “To Daddy,” and “Easy From Now On,” all reaching top positions on the country charts. By 1980’s Roses in the Snow, Harris pivoted gracefully toward a bluegrass-infused sound, joined by a remarkable lineup including Dolly Parton, Ricky Skaggs, Linda Ronstadt, and Willie Nelson.

These albums collectively showcase Harris’s artistic evolution from the country-rock stylings of her early years to her embrace of pure Americana and roots traditions. All three were critically acclaimed and remain staples of her Warner Bros. catalog.

Condition:
Vinyl surfaces exhibit light to moderate scuffs and faint scratches consistent with handling and play; visually graded VG– to VG. Jackets show typical shelf wear, rubbing, and corner softening; Pieces of the Sky and Roses in the Snow have more evident ring wear (G+ to VG overall). Labels remain clean and legible. All albums would benefit from a light professional cleaning before play.

Dimensions: Standard 12-inch LPs.
Label: Warner Bros. / Reprise Records (U.S. Pressings)
Years: 1975 – 1980
