Description

The Beatles “Abbey Road” Vinyl LP
Apple Records SO-383 (1969 U.S. First Pressing, Stereo)

Original 1969 U.S. stereo pressing of Abbey Road by The Beatles, issued by Apple Records under catalog number SO-383. This early edition features the iconic full Apple label on Side 1 and sliced Apple on Side 2, pressed by Capitol Records for Apple. The jacket displays the famous Abbey Road crosswalk photo by Iain Macmillan with the Apple logo on the reverse — a hallmark of the first U.S. issue. Track listings include “Come Together,” “Something,” and “Here Comes the Sun.” Produced by George Martin, this release marks the band’s final studio collaboration and remains one of the most celebrated albums in rock history.

This example appears to be an early U.S. pressing, identifiable by the SO-383 catalog number, “MFD. By Apple Records, Inc.” text on the labels, and absence of the Capitol logo — consistent with first-run Jacksonville or Scranton plant pressings. A cornerstone piece for any serious Beatles vinyl collection.

Condition:
Vinyl shows visible surface marks and scuffs, particularly on Side 2, causing moderate background noise in play. Labels are clean with light spindle wear. Jacket exhibits moderate ringwear, rubbing, and corner creases, with a small area of abrasion on the lower right back edge (see photos). Record stored in plain paper inner sleeve. Overall in Good condition, a complete and playable early pressing with strong collector appeal.

Dimensions:
Standard 12-inch LP record.
