Description

Dick Lawrence “NW Buttress, Ranchos de Taos” – Giclée Photograph – Signed, COA – Ed. 4/20

Atmospheric black-and-white giclée photograph by Dick Lawrence, titled NW Buttress, Ranchos de Taos. Lawrence’s composition draws attention to the tactile surface of the adobe and the interplay of light and shadow beneath a dramatic sky.

Biography:
Dick Lawrence began his photographic journey in 1960, developing his skills in traditional darkroom processes before embracing digital tools that expanded his creative control. Deeply inspired by Ansel Adams and mentored by Bruce Barnbaum, Freeman Patterson, and Paul Schrantz, Lawrence brings decades of mastery to his finely composed black-and-white landscapes.

Based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, he has exhibited widely, taught internationally, and now produces limited-edition giclée prints that honor the visual heritage of the American Southwest. His work is held in the New Mexico State Photo Archives.
