Vintage Nambe Alloy Bowls #212 & #569 — Iconic Mid-Century Serveware
Elevate your serveware game with this sculptural pair of vintage Nambe alloy bowls, models #212 and #569 — shining examples of mid-century modern design blended with artisan craftsmanship.
Model #569 features an elegant, asymmetrical shape collectors often call the “Butterfly Bowl.” It’s fluid, organic, and unmistakably modern — like frozen motion in metal. Its smaller partner, model #212, offers a wide, shallow form perfect for fruit, salads, or simply stealing the show on your sideboard. Together, they’re functional, collectible, and display-worthy.
These bowls are made from Nambe’s signature proprietary alloy — a satin-finished, food-safe metal developed in New Mexico in the 1950s. Designed to retain both heat and cold, they’re as practical as they are beautiful. Hand-cast and individually shaped, each vintage Nambe piece carries subtle variations and a stamped number underneath — a quiet nod to its origins. No loud logos here, just timeless design.
Condition:
In good vintage condition, with visible scuffing and scratches throughout from prior use. No structural damage or cracks. These have not been polished — we’ve left that decision up to you. Please review photos for surface detail.
Dimensions:
Nambe #212: 3" H x 8" W x 9 ¾" L
Nambe #569: 4 ¾" H x 8 ½" W x 7" L
Soup can included in photo for scale reference (not for sale, sorry Campbell’s fans).
