Sterling Silver Peony by Whiting Tea Caddy Spoon No. 26, 3 7/8", 14.87g
Peony pattern sterling silver tea caddy spoon, pattern No. 26, by Whiting Manufacturing Co., circa early 1900s. This beautifully detailed piece features Whiting’s signature sculpted peony blossom finial, a twisted handle, and a fluted bowl. The design captures the graceful naturalism of the Art Nouveau era, showcasing Whiting’s superb craftsmanship and sculptural depth in solid sterling silver. Marked “925 Sterling” on the reverse.
A fine collector’s example of American silver artistry—compact, elegant, and perfectly suited for tea service or display.
Condition
Good condition, with light surface wear and mild tarnish consistent with age. The silver shows a pleasing natural patina. We’ll leave the polishing to you.
