1915 Waltham Riverside 19J Pocket Watch – C.W.C. Co. Case & 12K GF Chain
An American Waltham Watch Co. “Riverside” pocket watch, serial no. 20190681, dating to circa 1915. The 19-jewel adjusted movement is marked “A.W.W.Co. Waltham, Mass. Riverside”—one of Waltham’s higher-grade lines noted for precision and reliability. Housed in a C.W.C. Co. (Crescent Watch Case Co.) case stamped “Warranted Crescent 25 Years” and numbered 2463129, this gold-filled hunter case features fine detailing and an engraved monogram on the cover.
The white enamel dial displays bold Arabic numerals with blued steel hands and a subsidiary seconds dial at six o’clock. Included is the original gold-filled fob chain, marked “L Mfg Co. 1/20 12K”, measuring 13 inches long with 5.23 mm links and a spring-ring clasp. A beautifully matched set exemplifying early 20th-century American horology.
Condition
In good condition overall, fully functional and tested—runs and keeps time accurately. Displays minor wear and a small dent consistent with age; dial shows a faint hairline near 7 o’clock. Chain and clasp are secure, and all elements present attractively.
