Elegant Mid-Century Modernist ring by Skalet Manufacturing Co., signed “SKAL 14KT” inside the band. Crafted in 14KT yellow gold, this design centers on an emerald-cut amethyst measuring approximately 8.10 x 6.25 x 3.20 mm, estimated at ~1.3 carats, securely held in a prong setting. Two round brilliant-cut diamonds of about 1/32 carat each accent the amethyst, enhancing the bold geometric composition.
The SKAL signature identifies the work of Skalet Manufacturing Co., a respected New York jewelry firm active from the 1940s through the 1970s, celebrated for its sculptural Modernist and Retro designs.
