Navajo Sterling Silver Ring with Arizona Turquoise–Chrysocolla Matrix Stone
A vintage Navajo sterling silver ring featuring an elongated cabochon of Arizona turquoise with chrysocolla and malachite inclusions, set in a traditional hand-fabricated bezel. The stone, measuring approximately displays a captivating range of blue-green to teal tones with areas of coppery brown and olive matrix, characteristic of copper–silicate material from Pinal and Gila Counties, Arizona. These regions are known for producing composite turquoise formed in association with chrysocolla and malachite within oxidized copper deposits.
The stone is framed by a twisted silver rope border and accented with deeply stamped leaf and diamond motifs, all hallmarks of classic mid-20th-century Navajo design. The triple-split shank is hand-tooled with fine chisel detailing, balancing structure and elegance. The reverse bears the hand-engraved “HU”.
