Pair Mid-Century Steel Folding Trays—Asian Lantern Motif, Cal-Dak Style
Graceful mid-century pair of steel folding tray tables with removable trays, painted in a lively lantern tableau with decorative characters (明、百、年、正、全、右) on a speckled cream ground. The scalloped “pie-crust” rims and black tubular bases capture the easy elegance of 1950s–60s American TV trays—light, portable, and ready for cocktails or sofa-side service. Unmarked; construction and finish are consistent with Cal-Dak and related makers of the era. A charming duo that adds a touch of chinoiserie sparkle to everyday living.
Condition:
Good vintage condition with honest, age-appropriate wear: scratches, scuffing, stains, scattered paint loss, and a few small dents to the trays; light wear to frames.
