Herend Hungary “Chinese Bouquet Green” Porcelain Trio – Basket, Leaf Dish & Vase
Superb trio of Herend Hungary hand-painted porcelain in the iconic Chinese Bouquet Green (Apponyi Green) pattern with rich 24K gilt accents. The group includes a delicate openwork basket, a scalloped leaf-form handled dish, and a small flared vase resting on gilt paw feet. Each piece is meticulously hand-painted with stylized floral motifs in vibrant green hues, encircled by gilt-edged borders — an exquisite display of Herend’s time-honored artistry. All pieces bear the Herend Hungary blue shield mark and are numbered on the base, confirming authenticity.
Originally introduced in 1931 for Count Albert Apponyi, the Chinese Bouquet design was adapted from traditional Far Eastern porcelain motifs into a refined European interpretation. Produced by the Herend Manufactory, founded in the early 19th century and patronized by European nobility, this pattern remains one of Herend’s most celebrated and enduring creations. Its elegance, craftsmanship, and enduring heritage make this trio a sophisticated addition to any collection of fine porcelain or classic European decorative arts.
