Description

Tom Lea “Feedcart for the Bulls” 1968 Lithograph – Ranch Scene

Authentic lithograph “Feedcart for the Bulls” by acclaimed Southwestern artist Tom Lea (1907–2001), issued in 1968. Lea, a native of El Paso, Texas, was deeply rooted in the landscape and culture of West Texas and Southern New Mexico, where much of his art was created and inspired. This work portrays a timeless ranching moment — a man guiding a feedcart drawn by oxen, followed by a rider beneath an expansive desert sky — evoking the rhythm and solitude of borderland life.

Executed in Lea’s signature monochrome style, the piece combines documentary realism with quiet poetry. Professionally matted and framed in a black frame with gilt trim. Lower left inscribed “Tom Lea 1941”; copyright lower right © 1968 Tom Lea.
