James C. Christensen “The Responsible Woman”
1992 Signed Limited Edition Lithograph (Framed)
Imaginative and symbolic, The Responsible Woman (1992) by James C. Christensen captures the artist’s signature blend of fantasy and allegory. This limited-edition lithograph, published by The Greenwich Workshop, portrays a woman in flight, balancing a multitude of symbolic objects—flowers, broom, clock, musical instruments, and a child—while holding a candle aloft. The image is a whimsical yet profound meditation on the balance of modern womanhood and the many roles one carries through life.
This example is hand-signed and numbered 1241/2500 in pencil by the artist and includes Christensen’s printed signature within the image. Accompanied by original Greenwich Workshop documentation and care materials, the work is beautifully presented in an ornate gilt wood frame with a double mat in soft gray and gold accent.

In very good condition overall. The colors remain vibrant with no visible fading or staining. Frame shows light wear and age-appropriate toning, but displays beautifully. Includes original certificate of authenticity and documentation from The Greenwich Workshop.
Dimensions:
Framed: approximately 32 x 26 inches
