Description

Talavera Majolica: Peacock-Feather Vase & Pear Bowl

A radiant Talavera pairing that sings on the shelf: a tall peacock-feather (plumas de pavo real) vase whose rhythmic eyes ripple upward, and a deep bowl painted in midnight cobalt with sun-bright pears and curling leaves. The brushwork is confident, the glaze glassy—traits of stronger Puebla/Dolores Hidalgo workshops rather than tourist fare. Undersides read “Talavera Mexico” (vase) and “Mexico • Lead Free” (bowl), pointing to modern, food-safe majolica with classic lineage.
Styled together, they create an instant focal point for a kitchen, dining console, or open shelving; the bowl is equally at home holding fruit, bread, or simply catching the light.

Condition
Good overall with no remarkable damage and no chips observed. Minor handling wear only; glazes remain glossy and colors vivid.
