Pair of Chinese Blue & White Porcelain Landscape Ginger Jars with Lids, 10½"
A pair of Chinese blue and white porcelain covered ginger jars, each finely hand-painted in cobalt blue with continuous landscape scenes of pavilions, bridges, and figures among misty mountains and rivers. The domed lids feature matching scenic medallions, while the lower borders are adorned with stylized lotus or lappet patterns. The serene design recalls classic Qing dynasty motifs, produced in the traditional Jingdezhen manner using underglaze cobalt painting.
Unmarked, this pai dates to the mid-to-late–20th century, crafted for the export and decorative market in faithful revival of 18th–19th century forms. The balanced proportions and brushwork make these an elegant decorative statement for both traditional and modern interiors — ideal as a matched display pair or as individual accent pieces.
Condition:
Excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Surfaces remain clean and glossy with minimal wear. Bases fitted with protective felt pads.
Dimensions:
Each jar measures 10½ inches high x 8 inches in diameter.
