Description

Terri Dennis “Desert Petroglyph Window” Textured Wall Sculpture

Original wall sculpture by Terri Dennis, signed verso. This large-scale mixed-media work features a carved, stone-like surface textured with ancient petroglyph-inspired motifs surrounding a dramatic central vista. The recessed “window” reveals a hand-painted Southwestern landscape under a twilight sky, with warm desert tones transitioning into deep purples and starlit blues. The contrast between the smooth, luminous center and rugged relief edges creates a dynamic sense of depth and symbolism—linking the spiritual and the natural worlds.

Terri Dennis, an Arizona-based artist, is known for her sculptural wall art based on ancient and primitive cultural forms. Each piece is individually crafted through a complex, multi-step process to achieve authentic rock texture and depth of tone.
